KL Rahul added another milestone to his IPL career with a fluent half-century against KKR in Delhi Capitals’ final league match of IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens.
He scored 60 off 30 balls, hitting five boundaries and four sixes, marking his 45th half-century in the tournament and his sixth fifty-plus score of the season. His innings helped Delhi Capitals post a strong total after being asked to bat first.
Rahul Achieves Rare Wicketkeeper Feat
With this knock, Rahul registered his sixth fifty-plus score in IPL 2026, becoming part of a select group of wicketkeeper-batters to record more than five such scores in a single edition.
He is now the first wicketkeeper-batter in IPL history to achieve this milestone more than once, having previously done so in 2018. The record also places him alongside Rishabh Pant and Prabhsimran Singh among players who have recorded six fifty-plus scores in a season.
In comparison, the highest number of half-centuries recorded by MS Dhoni in a single IPL season stands at four, achieved in 2013.

Delhi Capitals Post 203/5
In their final game of the season, Delhi Capitals put up 203 for 5 in 20 overs. Alongside Rahul’s contribution, Axar Patel scored 39 off 25 balls, while David Miller added 28 from 19 deliveries. Ashutosh Sharma remained unbeaten on 18 from 11 balls to finish the innings strongly.
For Kolkata Knight Riders, Saurabh Dubey was the most effective bowler, returning figures of 2 for 28 from four overs.
