There were only small changes in the IPL 2026 Orange and Purple Cap standings after Monday’s match, but KL Rahul made a move up the batting chart following Delhi Capitals’ important win over Punjab Kings.

Orange Cap Leaderboard

Delhi Capitals kept their playoff hopes alive with a much-needed victory against Punjab Kings. Rahul did not make a major contribution in the chase of 211, scoring 9 off 8 balls, but those runs were enough to move him from third to second on the season’s run-scoring list.

The DC opener now has 477 runs from 12 innings at a strike rate of 177.98.

Rahul’s position, however, remains under threat. Sunrisers Hyderabad are set to face Gujarat Titans, giving several contenders a chance to move ahead. Abhishek Sharma has 475 runs, while Shubman Gill is close behind with 462. Heinrich Klaasen currently leads the Orange Cap table with 494 runs from 11 innings at a strike rate of 157.32 and will have an opportunity to extend his lead.

Purple Cap Leaderboard

Bhuvneshwar Kumar continues to lead the Purple Cap race after another standout performance for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The 36-year-old, who won the Purple Cap in consecutive seasons in 2016 and 2017, has shown he remains highly effective.

His figures of 4 for 23 against Mumbai Indians, in a dramatic RCB win, marked his sixth three-wicket haul of the season and his first four-wicket haul. The performance took his tally to 21 wickets.

Bhuvneshwar needed a strong return to stay ahead after Kagiso Rabada moved to 18 wickets on Saturday. Anshul Kamboj had briefly gone top earlier on Sunday after taking two wickets for Chennai Super Kings against Lucknow Super Giants, taking his season tally to 19.

With the tournament entering a crucial stage, both individual races remain tightly contested, especially with several leading players still in action this week.
