The IPL 2026 leaderboards saw some changes following Sunday’s double-header, though the favorites – Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings – suffered defeats to Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans in low-scoring contests.
Orange Cap Update
Abhishek Sharma moved back to the top of the Orange Cap standings despite a modest outing against KKR. His 15 runs were enough to take him to 440 for the season, giving him a seven-run lead over KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals, who sits second with 433.
Heinrich Klaasen missed the opportunity to climb higher after scoring 11, leaving him third with 425 runs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals remains fourth with 404.
B Sai Sudharsan entered the top five after continuing his strong form, scoring 57 off 41 balls to reach 385 runs for the season.
Further down the list, Ishan Kishan’s 42-run knock lifted him to ninth with 354 runs, while Travis Head’s 61 off 28 balls pushed him up to 12th position.
Several other leading batters, including Shubman Gill, Prabhsimran Singh, Jos Buttler, and Shreyas Iyer, had limited returns on the day and saw no significant movement.
Purple Cap Update
Kagiso Rabada continued his rise in the Purple Cap standings, taking his tally to 16 wickets after collecting 12 wickets across his last six matches. He now occupies third place, just one wicket behind joint leaders Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Anshul Kamboj of Chennai Super Kings.
Eshan Malinga went wicketless, while Rashid Khan managed only one wicket, resulting in no major changes at the top.
Mohammed Siraj and Kartik Tyagi both had productive outings, taking two wickets each to move to 11 wickets for the season. While they remain outside the top positions, both are currently within the top ten.
