Sunil Narine achieved a major milestone in the IPL, becoming the latest bowler to reach 200 wickets during Kolkata Knight Riders’ clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He needed just one wicket before the match to reach the landmark.
Narine brought up the milestone by dismissing Salil Arora with the first ball of the 16th over, knocking back the stumps to complete his 200th IPL wicket and adding another record to his career.
First Overseas Player to 200 Wickets
With this achievement, Narine became the first overseas cricketer in IPL history to reach 200 wickets. He got there in 127 innings, placing him ahead of other leading overseas wicket-takers.
