Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Abhishek Sharma has carved out a place in IPL history after registering two of the highest individual scores by an Indian in the tournament.
The milestone came following his unbeaten 135 against Delhi Capitals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on April 21 in IPL 2026. The 25-year-old dominated the innings from start to finish, striking 10 fours and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 198.52. His knock now stands as the fifth-highest individual score in IPL history.
Two Entries Among IPL’s Elite Scores
Abhishek had first broken into this elite bracket during IPL 2025, when he scored his maiden IPL century against Punjab Kings at the same venue. On that occasion, he hammered 141 off 55 balls, including 14 boundaries and 10 sixes, at a strike rate of 256.36.
That innings currently ranks third on the list of highest individual scores in IPL history. With both efforts, Abhishek has become the only Indian player to feature in the top five and the only cricketer overall with two entries on the list.
