Kolkata Knight Riders may have fallen short in a last-ball thriller against Lucknow Super Giants at Eden Gardens, but Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Ajinkya Rahane continued their strong run with the bat, moving into the top five of the Orange Cap standings after 15 matches in IPL 2026.

Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals remains at the top of the run charts with 170 runs, followed by Sameer Rizvi of Delhi Capitals on 160. Raghuvanshi has climbed to third after scoring 45 against LSG, taking his tally to 155 runs from four innings. He currently averages 51.66 and strikes at 158.16.
Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad holds fourth place, while KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane has moved into the top five. Rahane’s 41 off 24 balls in the same match lifted his total to 124 runs in four innings, with an average of 41.33 and a strike rate of 155.
Several other batters have also crossed the 100-run mark this season. Among them is Cooper Connolly of Punjab Kings, who has scored 108 runs in just two innings and has been dismissed once, maintaining a strike rate of 163.63.
Purple Cap leaderboard
In the race for the Purple Cap, Rajasthan Royals spinner Ravi Bishnoi leads with seven wickets from three matches. He has an average of 11.71 and an economy rate of 9.11.
Gujarat Titans bowlers occupy the next two positions. Prasidh Krishna is second with six wickets at an average of 20.66, while Rashid Khan sits third with five wickets at 17, boosted by his recent figures of 3 for 17 against Delhi Capitals.
Seven other bowlers are also on five wickets, including Lucknow Super Giants’ Prince Yadav and Kolkata Knight Riders’ Vaibhav Arora. Prince picked up one wicket in the latest fixture, while Arora returned figures of 2 for 38.
