The standings at the top of both the Orange and Purple Cap tables in IPL 2026 remain mostly unchanged, but a few players are beginning to climb the rankings and challenge the current leaders. This comes after Match 24, where Punjab Kings (PBKS) secured a convincing win over Mumbai Indians (MI).

Orange Cap Leaderboard

Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer were the standout performers for PBKS in their win against MI. Prabhsimran struck an unbeaten 80 off 39 balls, while captain Iyer contributed 66 from 35 deliveries. Their efforts have propelled them closer to the top of the run-scoring charts.

Prabhsimran now occupies fifth place, with the leaderboard currently topped by Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Virat Kohli. Between them are Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad, RCB’s Rajat Patidar, and SRH’s Ishan Kishan.

Prabhsimran has accumulated 211 runs from four innings, registering scores of 37, 43, 51, and 80*, at a strike rate of 172.95. Iyer, placed sixth, has scored 203 runs with innings of 18, 50, 69*, and 66.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals’ Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who previously led the standings, has dropped to seventh after registering a duck against SRH earlier in the week.

Purple Cap Leaderboard

The wicket-takers’ standings remain unchanged from first to ninth position. However, MI’s Shardul Thakur has entered the top ten after dismissing Iyer, taking his tally to six wickets.

He now shares the same number of wickets as RCB’s Jacob Duffy and Kolkata Knight Riders’ Vaibhav Arora.

At the top of the table are Gujarat Titans’ Prasidh Krishna and Chennai Super Kings’ Anshul Kamboj, both with ten wickets. They are followed by Prince Yadav (LSG) and Ravi Bishnoi (RR), who have nine wickets each.

Jofra Archer of Rajasthan Royals, along with RCB’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya, are next with seven wickets apiece.
