Orange Cap Leaderboard

During RCB’s win over PBKS, Virat Kohli made 58 from 37 balls, while Cooper Connolly contributed 37 off 22. Neither finished as the standout batter in the match, but both innings proved valuable for their side.

Kohli’s knock took him to 542 runs for the season, bringing him closer to Gujarat Titans openers B Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, who remain the top two with 554 and 552 runs respectively. Connolly, meanwhile, moved to 473 runs and rose to eighth place.

Later in the day, as DC beat RR, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi struck 46 from 21 deliveries, while KL Rahul scored 56 off 42 balls. Rahul’s innings lifted him to fourth place with 533 runs, pushing Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Heinrich Klaasen down to fifth.

Sooryavanshi also continued his strong campaign and now sits sixth on the list with 486 runs.

Purple Cap Leaderboard

Bhuvneshwar Kumar continued his excellent season by taking two more wickets against PBKS. He dismissed openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh in his first and third overs, finishing with figures of 2 for 38.

Although he was slightly expensive, conceding at 9.50 runs per over compared to his season economy rate of 7.70, his wickets helped him extend his lead at the top of the Purple Cap standings.

Bhuvneshwar now has 24 wickets for the season, three ahead of second-placed Kagiso Rabada of Gujarat Titans and five ahead of Chennai Super Kings’ Anshul Kamboj.

In the evening match, Jofra Archer returned figures of 2 for 35, responding well after a run of three games in which he had taken only two wickets and conceded heavily. His performance moved him up to fourth place with 17 wickets, one ahead of a group of four bowlers sitting on 16.
