Chasing 151, Australia reached 153/4 to complete the highest successful run chase in the history of a Women’s T20 World Cup final.
The victory not only secured another global title but also saw Australia and several of their players rewrite multiple records on one of the biggest stages in women’s cricket.

The final also marked another historic milestone for Australian legend Ellyse Perry.
By lifting the trophy at Lord’s, Perry secured her ninth ICC title, the most by any cricketer in history across the men’s and women’s game.
Perry enjoyed another outstanding tournament, scoring 198 runs in seven innings while also taking four wickets. Earlier in the competition, she became the first player in men’s or women’s T20 World Cup history to reach 50 appearances when Australia faced the Netherlands on June 20. She finished her illustrious World Cup career with 54 tournament appearances, adding another remarkable achievement to one of cricket’s greatest careers.
