Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for February following his exceptional performances during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. India fast bowler Arundhati Reddy claimed the women’s award after her influential displays in the T20I series against Australia.

Farhan secured the honour after a remarkable run of form in the global tournament. He surpassed Virat Kohli’s record for most runs in a single edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and became the first batter to score two centuries in one tournament, achieving the feat against Namibia and Sri Lanka.

The right-handed opener accumulated 383 runs across seven T20Is at an average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25. His performances during February stood out, with the final two Super Eight matches and the knockout stage taking place in March and set to be assessed in the next award cycle.

“It’s an incredible feeling to win this ICC award, especially for performances on the World Cup stage, where fans from all over the world are watching every moment. That makes it even more special.

“It was truly a tournament I’ll always cherish, and I’m determined to carry this momentum forward in the series and competitions ahead. I’m deeply grateful to my teammates for their constant support and belief in me – this wouldn’t have been possible without them.”

Reddy impressed with her seam bowling during India’s 2-1 T20I series victory in Australia. She finished as the leading wicket-taker, returning figures of 4 for 22, 2 for 30 and 2 for 35 across the three matches. Overall, she recorded an average of 10.87 and an economy rate of 7.25 in the series.

“It’s a real honour to be named ICC Player of the Month, and even more special knowing I was able to contribute to a T20I series win in Australia. Beating Australia on their home turf is never easy, which makes this award even more meaningful.

“This series win has given our team a huge boost of confidence as we build towards the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales this summer. We’ve got a well-balanced squad, and I believe we’ll be a team to watch.”

Farhan edged out England’s Will Jacks and USA’s Shadley van Schalwyk for the men’s accolade, while Reddy finished ahead of Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama and Pakistan’s Fatima Sana in the women’s category.

Both awards were decided through a voting process involving global fans registered on icc-cricket.com along with a specialist panel that included former international players and media representatives.
