The first Men’s Hundred auction took place at London’s Picadilly Lights, where several emerging and uncapped England players attracted strong interest during Thursday’s bidding. All-rounder James Coles emerged as the costliest signing of the event after London Spirit secured his services for GBP 390,000 (approximately Rs 4.81 crore).

Last season’s Most Valuable Player Jordon Cox also drew significant attention, with Welsh Fire signing him for GBP 300,000 (around Rs 3.69 crore). South Africa’s experienced batter David Miller became the first overseas player to be picked during the auction, joining Southern Brave for GBP 110,000 (approximately Rs 1.35 crore). Meanwhile, Proteas T20I captain Aiden Markram was snapped up by Manchester Super Giants for GBP 200,000 (around Rs 2.46 crore).

Following the auction, all eight franchises have finalised their squads for the 2026 edition of The Hundred.
