Pakistan Women produced a record-breaking performance to defeat Zimbabwe Women by 206 runs in the second ODI in Karachi, sealing a 2-0 lead in the three-match series ahead of the decider on May 9.
Bowling out Zimbabwe for 137 in 39 overs while defending a daunting 344, Pakistan not only maintained their unbeaten home record against the visitors but also registered their biggest-ever victory in Women’s ODIs.
Record-breaking win and historic margins
The 206-run triumph now stands as Pakistan’s largest margin of victory in women’s ODIs, surpassing their previous best of 193 runs against the Netherlands in 2011.

Openers lay the foundation with record stand
After opting to bat, Pakistan built their innings around a commanding opening partnership between Gull Feroza and Sadaf Shamas, who added 189 runs inside 31 overs.
The stand is the second-highest opening partnership in Pakistan Women’s ODI history, behind the record set by Sidra Amin and Muneeba Ali against Ireland in 2022.
Both Feroza and Shamas brought up their maiden ODI centuries, with Feroza also registering the fastest hundred by a Pakistan player in women’s ODIs, reaching the milestone in just 93 balls—breaking the previous record held by Sidra Amin (97 balls).
Strong finish powers Pakistan to 344
Despite Zimbabwe eventually breaking the opening stand, Pakistan continued to accelerate. Sidra Amin added an unbeaten 59 off 58 balls, while captain Fatima Sana (25 off 13) and Aliya Riaz (27 off 14) provided late impetus.
The total of 344 became Pakistan’s highest ODI score at home and their highest total in a winning cause.
Bowlers seal comprehensive victory
Zimbabwe never recovered in the chase despite contributions from Kelis Ndhlovu (32), Beloved Biza (29) and Runyararo Pasipanodya (33*).
Pakistan’s bowling unit delivered a collective effort, led by Fatima Sana’s 3 for 15. She was well supported by Syeda Aroob Shah (2 for 18), Rameen Shamim (2 for 20) and Momina Riasat (2 for 39).
Series context
The emphatic victory not only sealed the series but also provided Pakistan with strong momentum ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, as they continue fine-tuning their combinations in home conditions.
With the series already decided, the final ODI in Karachi will offer both sides an opportunity to test bench strength and close the series on a positive note.
