From Boundary Line to Global Stage

Babar’s story has long been regarded as one of cricket’s most inspiring journeys. As a teenager, he served as a ball boy during the 2007 Test series between Pakistan and South Africa at Gaddafi Stadium, often travelling long distances each day to be close to the game.

During that time, he drew inspiration from international stars like AB de Villiers, as well as Pakistan legends Younis Khan and Inzamam-ul-Haq.

A Career Built on Consistency

Since then, Babar has established himself as one of Pakistan’s most reliable performers across all formats for the Pakistan national cricket team.

  • T20Is: 145 matches, 4,596 runs, strike rate 128.02 (39 fifties, 3 hundreds)
  • ODIs: 140 matches, 6,501 runs, average 53.72 (20 centuries, 37 fifties)
  • Tests: 61 matches, 4,366 runs (9 centuries, 30 fifties)

His consistency with the bat has made him a central figure in Pakistan’s lineup over the years.

Leadership Success Adds to Legacy

Beyond individual milestones, Babar recently added a major achievement to his career by leading Peshawar Zalmi to a title in the Pakistan Super League, marking his first major trophy as captain.

Message That Resonates

The viral response to his post highlights the impact of his journey. From collecting balls on the boundary to becoming a global cricket star, Babar’s story continues to resonate with aspiring players, serving as a reminder that determination and hard work can transform dreams into reality.
