Heinrich Klaasen reclaimed the top spot in the IPL 2026 Orange Cap standings after Sunrisers Hyderabad’s win over Chennai Super Kings, with several batters making notable moves in the rankings.

Klaasen, returning after a six-day break that reshaped the Orange Cap table, scored 47 off 26 balls to move back to No. 1 with 555 runs. He is now ahead of Gujarat Titans openers B Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, with Sudharsan just one run behind and Gill trailing by three.

Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru remains fourth with 542 runs, followed by KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals on 533. Klaasen’s teammate Abhishek Sharma climbed to sixth place after scoring 26, taking his tally to 507 runs.

Ishan Kishan also made significant progress, rising to seventh after a Player-of-the-Match performance against CSK, where he scored 70 off 47 balls to reach 490 runs for the season. Sanju Samson, meanwhile, moved up to ninth position with 477 runs following his knock of 27, overtaking Cooper Connolly and Mitchell Marsh.

Kamboj Reaches 20-Wicket Mark

In the Purple Cap standings, Anshul Kamboj reached a key milestone despite an expensive outing against SRH. He conceded 46 runs in his four overs but picked up a wicket to become the third bowler this season to reach or surpass 20 wickets.

Kamboj now has 20 wickets, placing him behind Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who leads with 24, and Gujarat Titans’ Kagiso Rabada, who has 21.

SRH’s Eshan Malinga also made progress, moving to 17 wickets after dismissing Dewald Brevis. He is now level with Rajasthan Royals’ Jofra Archer, completing the current top five among wicket-takers.
