The IPL 2026 clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings brought little changes to the Orange and Purple Cap tables, but there was movement outside the leading positions. While the top five run-scorers remained unchanged, Mitchell Marsh made a notable move into sixth place on the Orange Cap leaderboard.

Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad continues to lead the standings with 508 runs. Gujarat Titans’ B Sai Sudharsan follows closely with 501, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Virat Kohli holds third place with 484. SRH’s Abhishek Sharma sits fourth with 481, and KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals rounds out the top five with 477 runs.

Marsh’s recent run of scores has lifted him into contention. After an inconsistent start, he has registered innings of 55, 44, 111 and 90 in four of his last six outings, taking his total to 467 runs. He is level with Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill on runs, though Marsh has a higher strike rate of 162.15 compared to Gill’s 158.30.

Chennai Super Kings opener Sanju Samson also made progress, moving into eighth position after scoring 20 and crossing the 450-run mark.

Purple Cap Standings Remain Unchanged at the Top

There was little change among the leading wicket-takers following the match. Anshul Kamboj and Prince Yadav, both in contention for the Purple Cap, went wicketless and proved expensive in their spells.

Prince conceded 49 runs in four overs without taking a wicket, while Kamboj endured a difficult outing, conceding 63 runs in 2.4 overs, including eight sixes.

Despite the performance, Kamboj remains third on the leaderboard with 19 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Royal Challengers Bengaluru continues to lead with 22 wickets, followed by Kagiso Rabada of Gujarat Titans with 21.

Prince Yadav sits in fifth place with 16 wickets, alongside Rashid Khan of Gujarat Titans, Kartik Tyagi of Kolkata Knight Riders and Eshan Malinga of Sunrisers Hyderabad, with Rashid holding a better economy rate among them.
