Sahibzada Farhan continued his impressive run in T20 cricket with a match-winning century in the Pakistan Super League, drawing level with Virat Kohli and moving closer to Babar Azam’s tally of hundreds in the format.
The Multan Sultans opener remained unbeaten on 106 from 57 deliveries in the PSL 11 fixture against Hyderabad Kingsmen at the Gaddafi Stadium. His innings, featuring eight sixes and seven fours, guided his side to victory and marked his ninth T20 century, achieved in his 166th appearance.
With that knock, Farhan joined Kohli in joint-sixth place on the list of players with the most T20 centuries. He now sits just behind Babar Azam, who occupies second position with 11 hundreds.
South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw also has nine centuries, achieved in 393 matches, while Australia’s David Warner is fourth with ten. West Indies great Chris Gayle leads the list with 22 centuries in 463 matches.

Kingsmen set challenging total
Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen opted to bat and posted 225 for 5 in their 20 overs. Maaz Sadaqat led the scoring with 62 from 26 balls, while Sharjeel Khan remained unbeaten on 51 from the same number of deliveries.
For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Wasim Jr returned figures of 2 for 37 in four overs, while Mohammad Nawaz, Peter Siddle and captain Ashton Turner claimed one wicket each.
Farhan anchors successful chase
In response to the 226-run target, Multan Sultans reached 227 for 4 with eight balls remaining. Farhan played a central role throughout the chase, supported by Steve Smith, who scored 46, and Shan Masood, who added 29.
He then saw the innings through alongside Arafat Minhas, who contributed an unbeaten 26 from 11 balls, as the Sultans completed the chase comfortably.
Saim Ayub was the most successful bowler for Kingsmen with two wickets, although he conceded 43 runs in three overs. Maheesh Theekshana and Hassan Khan took one wicket each.
