India spinner Kuldeep Yadav shared an emotional message on social media after marrying his childhood friend Vanshika Chaddha in a private yet high-profile ceremony held in Mussoorie on Saturday. Posting photographs from the celebrations on Instagram, Kuldeep captioned them: “Our Forever begins now. 14.03.2026.” The wedding was attended by several current and former cricketers, including Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal and Suresh Raina.

The couple hosted their celebrations at Welcomhotel The Savoy, which was reportedly booked for multiple days to accommodate guests and various functions.

Images and videos from the festivities quickly circulated online following their private engagement last year. One widely shared clip showed Kuldeep and Vanshika walking hand-in-hand as fireworks illuminated the backdrop.

Visuals from the colourful Sangeet ceremony gained traction on social media. In pictures shared by Raina and Chahal, the bride and groom were seen wearing coordinated traditional attire that soon went viral.

Tilak Varma, who arrived in Mussoorie on Saturday, had earlier stated that he planned to enjoy the wedding before shifting his focus to preparations for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where he is set to represent Mumbai Indians.

“We’re going to Kuldeep’s wedding to have fun. After that, we’ll prepare for IPL,” Tilak said.

According to media reports, Kuldeep had postponed the wedding, which was initially planned for November 2025, to prioritise his role in India’s successful T20 World Cup 2026 campaign. The couple, both from Kanpur and having grown up just three kilometres apart, got engaged last year at a hotel in Lucknow. Vanshika is currently employed with LIC.

During the T20 World Cup, Kuldeep made a single appearance, returning figures of 1/14 against Pakistan in the group stage. In the lead-up to the ceremony, his father Ram Singh Yadav also met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath last week to personally extend an invitation.
