West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein, currently representing Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026, showed his support for RawalPindiz batter Dian Forrester during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 match.
In a video shared on his Instagram story, Hosein praised Forrester’s late-order cameo, highlighting the batter’s aggressive approach.
Forrester struck 24 runs off 11 deliveries, including a boundary and three consecutive sixes during Mohammad Nawaz’s over. Hosein, watching the game from his hotel room in India, recorded the moment and commended the batter’s ability to counterattack under pressure, particularly his sequence of maximums.
Pindiz Fall Despite Late Contributions
Forrester’s effort, along with a well-crafted half-century from Sam Billings, was not enough to prevent RawalPindiz from slipping to their fourth straight defeat in PSL 11. They were beaten convincingly by Multan Sultans at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.
After being sent in to bat, the Rizwan-led side posted 182/8 in their 20 overs. Billings led the scoring with an unbeaten 56 off 34 balls, which included seven fours and a six. Kamran Ghulam also made a useful contribution, scoring 35 from 24 deliveries with three boundaries and two sixes.
Faisal Akram was the standout bowler for Multan Sultans, returning figures of 4 for 31 in four overs. Arafat Minhas claimed two wickets, while Muhammad Ismail and Peter Siddle picked up one each.
Sultans Seal Comfortable Chase
In response, the 2021 champions chased down the target of 183 with ease, reaching the total with just three wickets down and 22 balls remaining.
Sahibzada Farhan led the charge with a fluent 68 off 38 deliveries, striking four fours and five sixes. Josh Philippe provided strong support with 56 off 30 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes, as the pair added 110 runs for the second wicket.
After both set batters were dismissed, Ashton Turner and Shan Masood ensured there were no late setbacks, guiding the side home with an unbeaten 47-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
