India A solidified their dominance in the developmental circuit by defeating Bangladesh A by 46 runs in the final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. Held at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok on Sunday, this victory marks India’s second consecutive title in the tournament’s history.+1

Led by the experienced Radha Yadav, the “Women in Blue” successfully defended a target of 135, bowling out Bangladesh for just 88 in 19.1 overs. The win was a repeat of the 2023 inaugural final, where India also bested Bangladesh to claim the trophy.

Match Highlights: Resilience and Spin Dominance

The final followed a familiar script for the champions: recovering from a shaky start through middle-order stability and suffocating the opposition with elite spin bowling.

  • Hasabnis to the Rescue: India found themselves in early trouble before Tejal Hasabnis delivered a Player of the Match performance. She smashed an unbeaten 51 off 34 balls (SR 150), anchoring the innings when her teammates struggled to find boundaries.+1
  • The Captain’s Stand: Hasabnis and Radha Yadav shared a vital 69-run partnership for the fifth wicket, bailing the team out of a precarious position to reach a competitive 134/7.
  • Fahima’s Lone Fight: Bangladesh skipper Fahima Khatun was the standout performer for her side, claiming a brilliant 4-wicket haul to keep the target within reach.
  • Spin Strangle: In the second half, India’s bowlers proved too much for the Bangladeshi batters. Prema Rawat—fresh off a successful WPL season with RCB—was the wrecker-in-chief, taking 3 for 12 with her deceptive flight and turn. She was well-supported by Sonia Mendhiya and Tanuja Kanwer, who took two wickets each.

Bangladesh’s Continued Final Heartbreak

For the second time in as many editions, Bangladesh A finished as runners-up. Their chase never gained momentum, with Shamima Sultana being the only batter to cross the 20-run mark. The team struggled to handle the Indian spinners on a surface that offered significant purchase, eventually collapsing well short of the target.

With this victory, India A concludes an unbeaten knockout run, further proving the depth of talent currently emerging from the Indian domestic and WPL systems.
